ARE News: Bargaining for 2024-2026 Ends. Your ARE Bargaining Team reached a Tentative Agreement with the Rowland Unified School District on October 29, 2025. The ARE Executive Board passed the TA unanimously the very next evening. The ARE Representative Council then passed the TA unanimously on November 5th. The general membership will now have the opportunity to vote between November 10th and November 17th. Details of the agreement will be posted below starting November 7th, 2025. Join ARE! ARE members bargain for fair working and learning conditions, so we can ensure that our district provides the schools our students deserve and the compensation and working conditions that our members deserve. Other benefits for membership include the right to vote for association leaders and contracts, representation in the event that contract rights are violated, professional liability insurance, and member discounts. ARE Members also have many opportunities for high quality professional development through CTA. Professional Development through CTA not only supports Members in developing their craft but also to gain increases in salary through university credit, in partnership with Cal State Chico.
