ARE News: Vote YES on Proposition 3 this November! Protect school funding! ARE is proud to support the CTA campaign to pass Proposition 3 to protect existing public education funding. This November, California voters have the opportunity to, once and for all, make permanent the funding passed by voters under Proposition 55. This funding, passed by California voters in 2016, makes up roughly 15% of RUSD's state funding. This funding expires in 2030. Proposition 3 makes this existing funding permanent. Our schools CANNOT serve our students effectively without this funding! Join ARE! We can accomplish more together! Visit this link to join the Association of Rowland Educators and CTA. ARE members bargain for fair working and learning conditions, so we can ensure that our district provides the schools our students deserve and the compensation and working conditions that our members deserve. Other benefits for membership include the right to vote for association leaders and contracts, representation in the event that contract rights are violated, professional liability insurance, and member discounts. ARE Members also have many opportunities for high quality professional development through CTA. Professional Development through CTA not only supports Members in developing their craft but also to gain increases in salary through university credit, in partnership with Cal State Chico.
