ARE News: Tentative Agreement Ratified November 17th, 2025. The Tentative Agreement (TA) reached between the phenomenal ARE Bargaining Team and RUSD on October 29th has now been ratified by the membership. The agreement passed with 470 YES votes and 21 NO votes. 69.3% of our members participated in the voting. It must now be voted on by the RUSD Board of Trustees on November 20th. Join ARE! ARE members bargain for fair working and learning conditions, so we can ensure that our district provides the schools our students deserve and the compensation and working conditions that our members deserve. Other benefits for membership include the right to vote for association leaders and contracts, representation in the event that contract rights are violated, professional liability insurance, and member discounts. ARE Members also have many opportunities for high quality professional development through CTA. Professional Development through CTA not only supports Members in developing their craft but also to gain increases in salary through university credit, in partnership with Cal State Chico.
